In a leaked roadmap of Windows Mobile phones from Toshiba one of them is both powered by Windows Mobile 6.5 and is equipped with capacitive display (i.e. no need to press, light touch is enough):
The K01 is a 4.1-inch slider with a 3.2MP camera, Windows Mobile 6.5 and a capacitive touchscreen. Yeah, you read that right a capacitive screen on a Windows Mobile device, whatever next.
Commentary: it does not mean that Windows Mobile 6.5 supports multi-touch. It just means that Windows Mobile 6.5 is designed for finger-based navigation and it will have no problem to handle capactive displays. Note: 2 first Google Android phones also have capacitive display even without having multi-touch. Capacitive displays are extremely important because they are much more responsive than resistive displays. By now Microsoft claimed that they don't support capacitive displays because Asians need resistive displays for Chinese characters (used also in Korea and Japan). However this excuse is worthless for Europeans and Americans who now demand nothing less but: capacitive displays!
